Decent grocery store within minutes from home. Prices are a little high. Like to stop in for snacks on the weekend or last minute meal ideas. Traffic is generally pretty awful around this location, so best to go before/after rush hour. Never had a sour experience, but customer service lacks a little bit. Rarely see staff on the floor and there were a few occasions where the cashier did not acknowledge me when I walked up. I've had to physically move fully loaded stock carts out of the way in aisles to reach food because there was no staff to be seen. The bakery is pretty good. I like their "Enjoy Tonight" coupons for close to expired products. Overall, good for a quick stop in but definitely not for your weekly grocery trip.
Updated review: Unfortunately the service has gone steadily downhill at this location & prices and product availability worsened such that I'd no longer recommend going here except for emergency pick ups. Staff seem to be trying but are seemingly not well trained. Management apparently isn't interested in customer service.Though it's called 'Independent' it's really just a franchised bog chain. It's too bad because it would be *great* to have a truly local friendly grocer - sadly this isn't it.
Veggies and fruit are kt away great quality. Prices arent the best. Doesn't have as much as save on foods. However bakery is good
Great for small shopping list, or if you are missing a few items to make dinner. Selection is less vs. Superstore and they dont price match like other grocery stores. Staff are inexperienced kids, reminds me a small town grocery store. Recommend going elsewhere if you are looking to do weekly groceries.
